Paris Olympics 2024
August Acceleration Challenge
Paris Olympics 2024 is on and its time to compare ourselves verses the best. The Olympic kayaking 500m and 100m times is our measure, so In the month of August its time to get fast! Have a crack at 500m and 1,000m courses or do 1km, 2km or 3km sprints and take averages. Submit your times on the SHSC Strava (No rolling starts, must be a stand still start).
Strava is FREE, set up a profile and follow Sydney Harbour Surf Club. You can sync your Garmin Connect to Strava so your activities automatically upload to Strava or you can manually add entries on Strava.
Its not about who has the fastest time, we want to see who improves the most over August.
The courses are to be done on flat water, however, if you do it in the bumps make sure you comment on how much swell and wind you had.
Be creative! Have a go! Submit your times!

Take 3 for the Sea
Every time you paddle is another opportunity to take 3 pieces of rubbish from Sydney Harbour. Be bold and take 4 pieces! Always leave the water in a better place then you found it!
