South Africa Downwind Adventure with the Mocke Brothers
November 6th - 13th, 2026

The Ultimate Surf Ski Experience
If you’re a surf ski paddler, you’ve heard the stories.
The legendary Miller's Run. The world-famous downwind conditions of Cape Town. And of course, multi-time World Champions Dawid Mocke and Jasper Mocke.
Now it’s your turn to experience it firsthand.
Join us for an unforgettable week in South Africa with the Mocke brothers and Coach Luke Horder for what could easily become the greatest paddling trip of your life.
This is more than just a paddle camp — it’s a fully immersive downwind adventure designed to elevate your skills, challenge your limits, and connect you with an incredible crew of passionate paddlers.
Why South Africa?
Cape Town is widely regarded as the best downwind paddling destination in the world.
Consistent wind. Endless runners. Incredible scenery.
And no one knows these waters better than the Mocke brothers.
Throughout the week, Dawid and Jasper will coach you through every aspect of modern downwind paddling, including:
- Reading ocean energy and linking runs
- Surf ski positioning and boat control
- Timing and acceleration
- Weight distribution and body mechanics
- Paddle force and lift force
- Increasing average boat speed efficiently
- Building confidence in bigger conditions
Whether you’re chasing elite performance or still developing your downwind skills, the coaching structure is designed so every paddler progresses at the right level.

The Ultimate Downwind Setup
Each day, our dedicated van and trailer team will position the group in the best possible conditions — whether that’s the iconic Millers Run or hidden local runs only the Mockes know about.
Every evening, the coaching team assesses weather, wind direction, swell, and group ability to create the perfect plan for the next day.
With 3 coaches on the trip, paddlers will be split into groups based on speed and experience, ensuring:
- Safer paddling
- Better progression
- More enjoyable runs
- Coaching tailored specifically to your level
Want strong, technical downwind conditions? We’ll find them.
Prefer manageable conditions to build confidence? We’ve got that too.
And if the Cape Doctor delivers… we may do 4 Millers Runs in one day.

The Double Ski Experience
One of the highlights of the week will be the opportunity to paddle a double surf ski with the Mocke brothers.
Feel what true speed and glide really means as you fly downwind at speeds you never thought possible. It’s an experience most paddlers never forget.
No Wind? No Problem.
If the wind takes a day off, we head to the famous Muizenberg wave.
This long, gentle 500m wave is perfect for surf skis, allowing you to surf endlessly with your paddle in the air, carving runners at over 23km/h.
It’s pure fun — and one of the most unique surf ski experiences anywhere in the world.
