Many people have visited the Whitsundays… but very few have truly experienced them.

Sure, you may have wandered through the cafés and resorts of Hamilton Island — but have you explored the untouched outer islands only accessible by boat? Have you paddled from island to island across crystal-clear water, surfing ocean runners through one of the most breathtaking marine playgrounds in the world?

Most people haven’t.

That’s exactly why this trip exists.

We’re opening the door to a side of the Whitsundays that few ever get to see — a world of remote beaches, warm tropical water, consistent downwind conditions, and unforgettable surf ski adventures.

Now imagine waking up to 30-degree tropical weather in your private apartment at The Airlie Beach Hotel. After a relaxed breakfast downstairs with the group, you stroll across the road to the beach for a guided yoga and mobility session with your coach as the sun rises over the Whitsundays.

From there, it’s a short 200m walk to the Airlie Beach Marina where the adventure begins.

Two speedboats are waiting — one for the paddlers and one for the surf skis. Every day, we select the best outer island based on the wind, swell, and tide to create the ultimate downwind experience.

Before long, you’re standing on a secluded beach in the middle of the Whitsundays surrounded by like-minded paddlers, preparing to launch into an epic downwind run across turquoise water toward another remote island paradise.

Throughout the session, Coach Luke Horder will be alongside you on the support boat, coaching you in real time — teaching you when to work, when to surf, how to read the ocean, connect runners effortlessly, and move faster with less energy.

Your technique and stroke will also be filmed throughout the paddle, giving you professional downwind footage and valuable feedback to review back at your hotel later that day.

Whether you’re brand new to downwind paddling or looking to take your skills to the next level, this trip is designed to accelerate your progression. Before every paddle, we break down the ocean conditions, explain what to look for in the swell patterns and ocean curvatures, and show you how to use them to your advantage.

Safety is at the core of everything we do.

You’ll always be connected to Luke via VHF radios, with support boats nearby at all times, ensuring you feel safe, supported, and confident throughout every session.

This is more than just a holiday — it’s a complete immersion into fitness, adventure, and high-performance downwind paddling.

What you gain in one week here could easily take a year to develop back home in Sydney.

With warm weather, daily paddling, expert coaching, and two downwind sessions most days, you’ll burn thousands of calories while dramatically improving your skills. And after a huge day on the water? You’ve earned those sunset drinks, incredible dinners, and desserts each night.

To ensure the best possible experience, this trip is capped at just 11 paddlers.

The stronger the wind, the bigger the adventure. Some days may feature longer, faster runs as we maximise the conditions, while every schedule is carefully planned around the forecast to create the best opportunities for progression and fun.

And the best part? We have speedboats.

That means we can position you in the ideal locations every single day so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time downwinding your brains out.
